Trametes versicolor | Elfenbankje - Turkey Tail
Voor één keer heb ik dan toch eens de Engelse naam van een paddenstoel gevonden. ‘Kalkoenenstaart’… Tja, eigenlijk vind ik ‘Elfenbankje’ toch nog steeds mooier!
Often it is difficult to find the English name of a mushroom (or an insect) on the internet. I don’t know if they really don’t have English names, or that they have so many different names that they are seldom used on the WWW.
But this one is clearly called ‘Turkey Tail’ in several places… I can’t help it, but I like our Dutch ‘Elfenbankje’ (Elf’s stool) more.
